The iQoo 12 made its debut in India on Tuesday, marking the country's first smartphone to feature Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. Boasting a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, this device incorporates a triple rear camera setup, highlighted by a 64-megapixel telephoto camera. Noteworthy improvements include a 6,010 sq. mm vapor cooling chamber, 40 percent larger than its predecessor, and a robust 5,000mAh battery with 120W FlashCharge support. Priced at Rs. 52,999 for the 12GB + 256GB configuration and Rs. 57,999 for the 16GB + 512GB variant, a promotional offer of Rs. 49,999 is available, inclusive of HDFC or ICICI bank offers. The iQoo 12 will be accessible on Amazon India from December 13 for Priority pass holders and from December 14 for others. The Alpha variant showcases an AG Glass rear panel, while the Legend model features white porcelain enamel glass. Operating on Android 14-based Funtouch OS 14, the dual-SIM device features a quad-HD LTPO AMOLED screen, reaching up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip and iQoo's dedicated Q1 chip, it offers up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The triple rear camera setup includes a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. A 16-megapixel selfie camera caters to front-facing photography. Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC. iQOO 12 is set to be the initial phone powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 to be launched in India

The iQOO 12 series, which debuted in China last month, has now been globally launched in three markets—Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia. This release marks the global debut of the iQOO 12 as the first phone powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Notably, it will also be the inaugural Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 phone in India upon its arrival on December 12th. Priced at 27,900 THB (approximately Rs 66,000) in Thailand for the sole 16GB + 512GB variant, it costs RM 3,999 (around Rs 71,300) in Malaysia and IDR 10,999,000 (about Rs 58,900) in Indonesia. The iQOO 12, available in black and white, is set to launch in India on December 12th, with an anticipated price of Rs 52,999 for the base model (12GB RAM, 256GB storage) and Rs 57,999 for the 16GB + 512GB variant. The iQOO 12 will also mark the debut of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in India and will be the first non-Pixel phone featuring Android 14.

iQOO 12 5G Priority Pass

 

iQOO, the Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer and Vivo subsidiary, is set to unveil its latest flagship smartphone, the iQOO 12 5G, in the Indian market. In anticipation of the scheduled Indian launch on December 12th, it has been disclosed that a limited-period priority pass will be offered, providing customers with various privileges. The iQOO 12 5G priority pass, available on both the Amazon shopping platform and the iQOO India official website, will be accessible for purchase from December 5th to 7th, 2023. To secure the pass, customers need to pay a refundable amount of Rs 999.

The benefits of the priority pass include 24-hour early access to order the iQOO 12 5G device and complimentary Vivo TWS earbuds worth Rs. 2,999. Additionally, customers will have access to all exclusive launch offers with the priority pass. It's worth noting that the priority pass is not only available for a limited period but is also offered in a restricted quantity, following a first-come-first-serve distribution. The iQOO 12 5G series made its debut in the brand's home market, China, early last month, and the detailed specifications of the standard iQOO 12 5G are already known.
