Samsung Electronics has introduced its latest PC lineup, the Galaxy Book4 series, comprising the Galaxy Book4 Ultra, Book4 Pro, and Book4 Pro 360, marking a significant leap in AI PCs. These devices are equipped with the Intel Core Ultra 9 processor, featuring faster CPUs – Core Ultra (5 / 7 Intel Evo Edition), a high-performance GPU, and a newly integrated neural processing unit (NPU). Leaning on Intel's AI PC Acceleration program, the Galaxy Book4 series introduces compelling AI capabilities, enhancing productivity across the board. Elevating the user experience, the series incorporates the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU, offering AI-based creation tools and immersive gaming features.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 40-Series Super GPU tentative specs and launch dates leaked

Rumors surrounding Nvidia's intention to refresh its desktop GPU lineup with "Super" variants of the GeForce RTX 40-Series GPUs have been circulating for some time, initially met with skepticism. However, recent leaks suggest that Nvidia is set to unveil the GeForce RTX 4080 Super, GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super, and GeForce RTX 4070 Super at an event on January 8, with a gradual rollout in the subsequent month. According to reports from IT Home, EXPreview, and an alleged Nvidia document shared by Hassan Mujtaba, the official introduction of the new GeForce RTX 40-series Super graphics cards is scheduled just a day before the commencement of CES 2024.

Apple is contemplating foldable tablets but plans to introduce OLED iPads and MacBooks first

Apple is set to broaden its utilization of cutting-edge OLED screens to include its iPad and MacBook product lines, according to a Nikkei report. The company reportedly plans to integrate OLED panels into its high-end iPads as early as next year, with an OLED MacBook model expected for production in the second half of 2025. This strategic move toward OLED displays, already prevalent in premium smartphones such as iPhones and many Android devices, marks a notable victory for major display players like Samsung Display, LG Display, and China’s BOE Technology Holding. 

Government Releases High-Risk Warning for Users of Samsung Mobile Phones

The Indian government has recently issued heightened security alerts, specifically targeting users of Samsung Galaxy phones. The security advisory, issued by the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) on December 13, emphasizes multiple vulnerabilities affecting millions of Samsung Galaxy phones, encompassing both older and newer models. 

Categorized as high-risk, the security alert underscores the critical importance for existing Samsung users to promptly update their phone's operating system or firmware. CERT highlighted, "Multiple vulnerabilities have been reported in Samsung products that could allow an attacker to bypass implemented security restrictions, access sensitive information, and execute arbitrary code on the targeted system."

Instagram Notes has undergone a stylish upgrade, introducing additional features to enhance user experience. Launched a year ago on December 13, 2022, Instagram Notes initially provided a platform for users to share brief status updates visible to mutual followers and close friends accessing DMs. In a bid to inject more excitement into status updates, Instagram now allows users to incorporate a 2-second video. This video, set to play on a loop and vanish within 24 hours, offers a creative twist to the formerly text-centric format.

Redmi Note 13 5G Series Expected Launch Date

Xiaomi has officially confirmed that the Redmi Note 13 5G series is set to launch in India during the first week of January. While specific models like the Redmi Note 13, Redmi Note 13 Pro, and Redmi Note 13 Pro+ are expected, the company has not explicitly mentioned them in the announcement. The handsets, originally unveiled in China in September, share key features such as a 6.67-inch 1.5K full-HD+ AMOLED display and a 16-megapixel front camera across all three variants. The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra SoC, while the Redmi Note 13 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC. Xiaomi has confirmed the India launch date as January 4, and interested customers can visit the landing page on Xiaomi's India website to receive updates and click on the "Notify Me" button.

Nokia 110 4G and Nokia 106 4G now offer compatibility with YouTube Shorts and additional cloud applications

Nokia 110 4G and Nokia 106 4G, which made their debut in India earlier this year, are receiving an update. Launched in July and May, respectively, the Nokia 110 and Nokia 106 initially featured inbuilt UPI 123PAY support for instant and contactless payments. Now, HMD, the parent company of Nokia, has announced the introduction of support for YouTube Shorts and several other cloud applications for these 4G-enabled phones. Priced at Rs. 2,399 and Rs. 2,199 in India, the Nokia 110 4G and Nokia 106 4G users can access the new features by tapping the Cloud icon and signing in using their Google IDs. This update brings YouTube Shorts and seven other apps, including BBC Hindi, Sokoban, 2048 Game, and Tetris, to the devices.
